Every lesson is about something real
Learn a language one lesson at a time. The Jobs family garage, what’s in a bottle of perfume, how tall Napoleon really was: each lesson takes one real topic, teaches a few expressions you can use straight away, and gets you saying them.
How it works
Pick a card
Every step on your map turns up a hand of topic cards. Pick the one you want to hear about, and the lesson starts there.
Take the lesson
Read, listen, guess and speak your way through the story. New expressions turn up in it, and come back when you need them.
Walk the map
At the foot of each page, say the page’s lessons back. When your level is ready, take on the opponent who guards it.
Speak up — or not yet
Practice steps are live conversations: the other side picks up what you say and argues back, and a teacher alongside helps only when you are stuck. On a train? Type instead.
Every card you play is kept
Your album is a stamp album: each card, the day you played it and where on your map. Share one with a friend and they take the same lesson in the language they are learning.
Languages you can learn
The app itself speaks English and Chinese for now.
